Abel Bean is a professional level wilderness guide with over 16 years of experience. He completed his first 11-month wilderness immersion at Teaching Drum Outdoor School in 2001 and has since received advanced training from Tamarack Song, earning Master Guide credentials for his instructing capabilities in outdoor survival and personal development skills.

Abel is now offering unique and tailored wilderness experiences for individuals and groups of all levels who wish to explore the natural beauty of Wisconsin’s Headwaters Wilderness up close and off the beaten path. Whether it’s a forest or canoe day-trip, a wildlife tracking adventure, a weekend or week-long nature immersion, Abel’s knowledge of the land and wilderness guide skills will give participants an unforgettable experience as well as new skills to take with them and build upon.

These wilderness experiences are a great opportunity for families or groups of friends to gather for a weekend of canoeing and camping deep in the wilderness.
